Should Enovid (NOWONDER™) Nasal Spray Produce a Mist or a Liquid?

By Udi Damari on Aug 13, 2026 0 Comment

Enovid, sold in the US as NOWONDER™, is not a fine-mist spray. It dispenses a stream or flow of liquid, and that liquid action is what effectively cleanses the nasal cavity of harmful particles. Output varies slightly between bottles — some sit closer to a mist, others are clearly a stream — and both are working correctly.

The liquid flow is the point, not a side effect

This is a nasal cleanser, and cleansing needs volume. A fine mist coats; a flow of liquid washes. The sprayer is built to deliver the second, because rinsing away harmful elements — bacteria, viruses, pollen and pollution — is what the product is for.

That is the difference in one sentence. Most nasal sprays are trying to deposit a small amount of solution evenly, so they atomise it. This one is washing a surface, so it does not.

Why bottles vary a little

Not every sprayer behaves identically. Some produce something closer to a mist, others a distinctly heavier stream. Both sit within normal, which is why the wording is “not a fine mist” rather than “always a stream” — it describes what the product is not, because what it is covers a small range.

If your second bottle feels different from your first, that is not a fault in either.

Some dripping is normal

Because the output is liquid rather than a suspended cloud, a little running or dripping is part of the intended cleansing process rather than a sign you have over-applied. Hold the sprayer vertically and aim slightly outward, away from the centre of your nose, to keep more of it where you want it.

Less of it ends up in the air

One practical consequence of the liquid action: less material becomes airborne than with a fine-mist spray. A mist by definition leaves a cloud of suspended droplets around you. A directed liquid largely does not — more of what you dispense goes where you aimed it.

When something actually is wrong

Liquid output is normal. No output at all is not. If you press and nothing comes out, the overwhelmingly likely reason is that the sprayer has not been primed yet. If it is fully primed and still dispenses nothing after several more presses, contact us.
